STEVE LEAMING

Steve Leaming just passed 40 years of service in the financial services industry. A close second, by only a few months is his 40 year marriage to his wife Tanya. Steve began his career in 1979 after attending Missouri Southern University in Joplin, Missouri. In 1991 opportunity brought Steve’s business to Overland Park, Kansas where he developed his investment practice as a registered representative and later established SBL Investment Advisors, LLC, an independent (RIA ) Registered Investment Advisor firm in the state of Kansas.  

Steve currently is CEO and President of SBL Investment Advisors, LLC a Registered Investment Advisor with the state of Kansas. Steve holds a securities license, 65. SBL Investment Advisors, LLC client list includes current and past employees of many Fortune 500 companies including Cerner, Sprint, AT & T, Leggett & Platt, Inc as well as Hallmark.  

He also serves many small companies and self-employed individuals with their estate, business, and retirement planning. His private client list includes planning for individuals with net-worth’s who have exceeded $100M. He has professional practice clients including physicians, dentists & attorneys.  

He has strategic alliances with law firms, CPAs, and trust companies which allow him to provide the contingent of professionals needed to complete a plan of any size or complexity.  

As a Registered Investment Advisor, the fiduciary standard becomes a distinct advantage for his clients. What it really means for his clients is, he works for them and not the Broker Dealer, the Investment Company, or an Insurance company.
